The Digital Youth Award (DYA) program is a unique non-profit project created to promote and strengthen youth cultural exchange, friendship and education via various forms of digital entertainment. Inspired by the Nobel Prize, the DYA program will reward young people for bringing their talent and digital lifestyle across national borders and using it to experience other cultures and interact with youth from different countries. It has the goal to show that digital culture is a uniting factor for today's youth and is a powerful tool not only to entertain but also to create, educate, compete and bring the youth to new cultural experiences. The vision for the DYA program is a long-term and evolving cultural program, designed to run in-conjunction with various countries pavilions at the various World Expos. Therefore, 2010 is seen as the beginning of what will become a tradition of activities centered around the World Expos and bringing in youth from different countries to experience each other's and the host country's culture. The DYA program will be the convergence point of multiple cultures and the digital lifestyle.
